There is increasing evidence that a father's age has an impact on the risk of autism in children. Researchers report that children born to fathers aged 40 and above are six times more likely to develop autism compared to children born to fathers under 30. The specific reasons for this are not yet clear. Another related study shows that the mother's age has almost no impact on the risk of autism in children.
