Five Abdominal Symptoms That May Be Related to Liver Cancer

Abdominal Discomfort or Pain

Liver cancer can cause discomfort or persistent pain in the upper right abdomen. As the tumor grows, the pain may intensify.

Abdominal Swelling

Abdominal swelling may be due to the accumulation of ascites, which is a common symptom in the late stages of liver cancer.

Jaundice

Yellowing of the skin and eyes is a typical symptom of jaundice, which can be caused by impaired liver function due to liver cancer.

Visible Abdominal Veins

Liver cancer can increase pressure inside the liver, causing abdominal veins to dilate and become visible.

Indigestion Symptoms

These include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, or loss of appetite, which may be related to impaired liver function.

In addition to the above symptoms, liver cancer may also be accompanied by other symptoms:

Weight Loss: Unexplained weight loss can be a symptom of various cancers.

Fatigue: Persistent fatigue and lack of energy.

Fever: Liver cancer patients may experience unexplained fever.

Itchy Skin: Liver dysfunction can lead to itchy skin.

Abdominal Mass: In some cases, patients may feel a mass in the abdomen.
